Before you write

Most questions are answered in the FAQ on the home page or in the Field Notes articles. If your question is regulatory ("does Flight Log support EASA split-duty?", "how does FAA recency work?"), the blog probably has it covered.

If you've checked and still need help, the cards below tell you which channel is best for your situation.

Bug Report

Something broken

Crash, data loss, sync issue, anything misbehaving. Include the iOS version, device model, and what you were doing when it happened. Screenshots help.

We read every suggestion. If it fits the product vision (premium, EASA/FAA-compliant, native iOS, privacy-first), we put it on the roadmap.

Common situations

"My subscription didn't apply / Pro features are still locked."

Open the App, go to Settings → Pro card → tap. If the subscription is active on your Apple ID, the app will register it. If still locked, force-quit and relaunch. As a last resort, sign out of the App's account, then sign back in. If none of this works, email us with the date and amount of the purchase and we'll investigate.

"I lost my flight history when I changed phones."

Sign in with the same Apple ID on the new device. iCloud will sync your flights back automatically — usually within a minute. If iCloud is signed out at the system level (Settings → Apple ID), Flight Log cannot sync. Sign back in and the records will reappear.

"Can I export everything to leave Flight Log?"

Yes. Settings → Export → CSV (free) or PDF (Pro). Both formats are universal — every other pilot logbook app accepts CSV. We do not lock you in.

"How do I cancel my subscription?"

iOS Settings → your name at top → Subscriptions → Flight Log → Cancel. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No charge will be made for the next period.

"The 3D map shows nothing or is blurred."

The 3D map is a Pro feature. Free users see a blurred preview with an unlock prompt. If you have Pro and the map is blank, it's likely a network issue — Apple Maps streams terrain tiles, so an internet connection is required for the realistic terrain view.

"The .ics roster import didn't pick up my flights."

The parser looks for events with a route in the format "TK 1979 IST-LHR" in the calendar event title. If your airline uses a different format, the parser may fail. Email us a sample .ics with one or two events (you can redact passenger info) and we'll add support in the next update.

Response time and limits

We aim to reply to every email within two business days, Türkiye time. We do not provide phone support or live chat. We do not have a 24-hour SLA — Flight Log is a personal tool, not safety-critical infrastructure. For anything time-sensitive related to actual flight operations, your operator's dispatch and your applicable aviation authority remain the correct channels.
